"A Taste of 3D Printing" is meticulously designed for those without any prior knowledge, ensuring an accessible entry into 3D printing. In this course, we walk you through the entire 3D printing workflow from start to finish, demystifying each step. You'll be making two distinct prints, both of which you'll take home as tangible tokens of your newfound skill. Additionally, we delve into the basics of TinkerCad, equipping you with the know-how to design your custom 3D models. This 2-hour course is your all-in-one package, providing not just insight and output, but the creative control over the entire 3D printing process.
Designed for Beginners!
We tailor this course to beginners to demystify the fundamentals of 3D printing. By starting from the basics, we provide a gentle introduction to the technology, ensuring newcomers grasp the key concepts and techniques essential for successful prints. This foundational knowledge allows learners to quickly gain confidence and competence in this innovative and rapidly evolving field.
3 Hours Maximum
This course is intentionally brief to fit seamlessly into daily life without monopolizing it, while still offering ample opportunity to absorb key 3D printing concepts. For just the course alone, it is 2 hours. You can add on an extra hour by customizing the course (details below!) It's the sweet spot for busy individuals who want to learn effectively without sacrificing a whole day—long enough to cover the basics, yet short enough to keep your day productive.
Minimum age of 9
Our 3D printing course is designed for students aged 9+, as they're usually ready to comprehend the concepts and use the equipment responsibly. We recognize there may be younger enthusiasts with the capability to participate, so if your child is under 9 and you believe they are an exception, please contact us to discuss their enrollment.

Build and Customize an EbiKit! [+1 hour activity]
"EbiKits" are thoughtfully assembled packages comprising both electronics and 3D-printed parts sold in our web store. These kits serve as the perfect complement to your learning, allowing you to apply your new skills immediately. In class, you'll have the opportunity to personalize a part of the kit, choosing a component to 3D print and customize it yourself.
Make it an Event for Friends and Family! (4+ pax) [+1 hour activity]
For groups with 4 or more attendees, we can tailor the course to suit the event! Whether it's for a special project, team exercise, wedding proposal, or just for fun, we can make it an enjoyable event, whilst learning how to 3D print! Drop us an email (hello@filnchips.com) to enquire more!
Make it a Team Building Activity! (10+ pax) [+1 hour activity]
For larger groups up to 30 participants, our course offers an engaging twist — the option to transform the learning experience into a team-based game. We can arrange refreshments to keep everyone fueled and design a game that revolves around the 3D printing activities, encouraging collaboration and a bit of friendly competition. Teams will need to work together to achieve a common objective, and to spice things up, we'll include competitive elements that culminate in a short prize-presentation ceremony to celebrate the winners. Syllabus
Topics are subject to slight changes from time to time, but generally these are the topics we'll cover for this course! 1. A really brief history of 3D Printing to kick everything off! 2. Safety Precautions 3. Basic Operations of a 3D Printer (jumping straight into our first print!) 4. Understanding the 3D Printing Workflow (from getting 3D models, file conversion, pre-printing preparation, printing and some post-printing work!) 5. Operations of the 3D Printing Software 6. Basic 3D Modelling in TinkerCad (making our 2nd print!) 6. The "F&C Secrets" to Materials, Settings and getting that "perfect" print! Also, syllabus will be modified accordingly if the course is customized!
Additional Notes
If the attendee is a Student below 13, an Adult must accompany the student at no additional cost. (Student + Adult will both share the same equipment) One accompanying adult is all that is required for one or more Students under 13.

We are located at Oxley Bizhub! Address: 65 Ubi Road 1 #02-65 If you're travelling by public transport, you can take SBS Bus 24, and alight opposite Trinity@Paya Lebar. You'll arrive exactly at Oxley Bizhub. Locate Lift Lobby 4 and take a lift/walk up to level 2. If you're driving, you can park at the basement carpark, near Lift Lobby 4 and take a lift/walk up to level 2.
Booking System Limitations
Due to the limitations of the booking system, you currently can only book for 1 pax per transaction. You will need to make multiple transactions to make bookings for multiple attendees.
